2010 NBA DRAFT

While many basketball fans out there (myself included) enjoyed watching the draft this evening, the night became truly special to sixty young men, sixty young men who in a few months will officially start their rookie NBA seasons. Not everyone will have as good of a year as everyone else, and some may not get even a minute of playing time, but regardless of what happens next, each and every player drafted tonight should feel proud of themselves, and should never ever forget the moment their name was called.

A few follow-up notes:
-It was no surprise that John Wall got picked at #1.
-I was pretty sure Evan Turner would end up at #2 as well.
-There were five Kentucky players chosen: John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, Patrick Patterson, Eric Bledsoe and Daniel Orton.
-In my opinion, Wes Johnson and Al-Farouq Aminu looked the best. Not necessarily in terms of actually looking the most put together or being the most fashionable, but Wes Johnson's plaid pants, yellow shirt, and crazy red tie really had me paying attention to him, and Al-Faqouq Aminu's glasses were too fly.
-Also in my opinion, Paul George is too good for the Pacers, and should try to get out of there ASAP.
-Again in my opinion, the best looking player drafted tonight was John Wall, followed by Landry Fields. There were actually a handful of guys that had me blushing but those two were the ones who stood out the most, so right now, they're the only ones that get props.
-Some more of my opinion, Ed Davis should have been picked earlier but I think he'll do well in Toronto.
-And last but not least, though not really having to do with any of the draft picks, Stuart Scott seemed really off in his comments this evening, blantantly hating on certain teams like the Los Angeles Clippers, and adding irrelevant facts to some of the players' bios. Perhaps he wasn't feeling well, perhaps a certain draft choice pissed him off, or perhaps he didn't to fill the slot, but whatever the case, it was interesting to listen to him to say the least.

And there you have it. A brief rundown of the 2010 NBA Draft. Can't wait to see how each players' rookie season goes, and for next season to begin in general. Next up, free agency...
