2010 NBA Free Agency July 1st

Yesterday was the first official day of the NBA free agency and though most of the heavy hitters have yet to decide on their next move, a few deals have already been reached. In no order...

-Minnesota Timberwolves agree to a 4 year, $13 million deal with Nikola Pekovic.
-Minnesota Timberwolves agree to a 4 year, $20 million deal with Milicic Darko.
-Scott Byron becomes the Cleveland Cavs' new head coach.
-Toronto Raptors agree to a 5 year, $34 million deal with Amir Johnson.
-Memphis Grizzlies agree to a 5 year, $80 deal with Rudy Gay.
-Phil Jackson agrees to return to L.A. Lakers.
-Chicago Bulls meet with Dwyane Wade.
-New York Knicks meet with Lebron James.
-New Jersey Nets meet with Lebron James.
-Houston Rockets meet with Chris Bosh.
-Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade meet (and dine together) in Chicago,

I will do my best to update everyone on the latest free agency news daily. Please keep in mind though that nothing can be made final, or at least publicly so, until July 8th, and also that a few deals, or at this point, rumors, may slip under my radar. If anyone has additional news they think I should post, please leave a comment on this blog, or tweet me at @ChitownHeiress. Let the madness begin.
