So I know its been a few days, and for that I apologize, as I know that deals, trades, and rumors, never stop. However, I'm back, and I have a handful of things to report (to make it easier on both myself and for you to read, I'm just going to make one big list of what took place instead of splitting it up by days)...
-New Jersey Nets agree to a 3 year, $12 million deal with Jordan Farmar (I feel so bad for the guy...from the Lakers, to the Nets? I don't think any amount of money is worth that downgrade).
-Memphis Grizzlies agree to a 3 year, $9.7 million deal with Tony Allen.
-Orlando Magic agree to a 3 year, $7.5 million deal with Quentin Richardson (good for him, I've always been a fan).
-New York Knicks sign Timofey Mozgov (of Russia) but the deal remains undisclosed.
-Udonis Haslem stays with the Miami Heat for 5 years and $20 million (about $14 million less than he would have gotten if he went somewhere else).
-New Jersey Nets acquire Anthony Morrow for 3 years, $12 million.
-Minnesota Timberwolves agree to send Al Jefferson to the Utah Jazz for two future first-round draft picks and a salary-cap trade exception.
-Miami Heat sign Z Ilgauskas to a 2 year, $2.8 million contract (completely ridiculous, I can't believe he left Cleveland behind as well after all the work they put in to make sure he doesn't get traded).
-Ray Allen stays with the Boston Celtics on a 2 year, $20 million contract (duh).
-Charlottle Bobcats send Tyson Chandler to the Dallas Mavericks.
-Dallas Mavericks receive Erick Dampier.
-Hedo Turkoglu and Josh Childress are rumored to be heading to the Phoenix Suns.
-José Calderón is rumored to be headed to the Charlotte Bobcats (what?).
-Derek Fisher (smartly) decides to stay with the LA Lakers.
-Washington Wizards sign Hilton Armstrong.
-Utah Jazz acquire Al Jefferson.
-Chicago Bulls sign Omer Asik (turkey) for 3 years, $4 million (this makes me nervous that they won't resign Brad Miller...).
-Ben Wallace resigns with Detroit Pistons for 2 more years.
-Minnesota Timberwolves finally acquire Michael Beasley (I think hes more talented than this team, but I will say they have been making some smart moves during this off-season so perhaps everything will work out for him in the end after all).
-Miami Heat are still trying to acquire Mike Miller.
Phew. It seems as though right when I took a break from posting, things sped up tenfold. But there you have it, all the happenings around the league from the past couple of days. This should be an interesting season to say the least.
